There is a huge array of bars and restaurants to suit all tastes and preferences for any holiday or longer term stay in Agadir.
We have compiled a short list of recommendations, but obviously people have varying tastes.
Many of the restaurants have a very Western European menu, from pizzas to steaks to spaghettis and, of course, there is also the finest “haute cuisine” dining in the restaurants of the 5 star hotel restaurants.
We included places where, from experience, it is a must for ensuring complete children's satisfaction!
Le Jazz Restaurant
For inexpensive sophistication eating inside or al fresco and a Grand piano for gentle live music found on Boulevard du 20 Aout
Catanzaro
If you enjoy Italian food then try Catanzaro which again is found on Boulevard du 20 Aout
Chez Mimi la brochette
Situated on the promenade with wonderful views out to the Atlantic sea visit Chez Mimi and have an enjoyable dinner here with a menu that could be see in any quality restaurant in France. Promenade Tawada, Bord de Mer
Restaurant La Madrague
Why not enjoy fantastic food eating al fresco and admiring all the yachts and boats in the marina. Plenty of style and charm its well worth a visit.
The English Pub
For a great fun night out then you have to include an evening at The English Pub. It has a very friendly atmosphere and loads of room for all to enjoy. Entertainment includes Big screen TV’s for live football and rugby from the UK. Karoake and pool tables. Pizzas and childrens menus are very popular.
Restaurant La Scala
If you enjoy fish and “les fruits de mer” then you must try La Scala. It is a much more formal restaurant and the food is extremely good so for a quiet intimate dinner then put this restaurant on your list. Rue de l’Oued Souss
Jardin d’Eau
For a sophisticated and enchanting dinner then please visit garden of water managed by a very friendly French family whose clientele expects the best of cooking and fine dining in Agadir. As the name suggests the restaurant is home to small decorative ponds and fountains which really add to the charm of the place. Situated on Boulevard du 20 Aout.
Maxwell
A popular inexpensive restaurant again catering for a very Western European customer. However like many of these restaurants they have to provide good food, well cooked or they would not survive. Yes there are also a couple of TV screens here but they seemed to be showing live French football matches!
La Fontaine
This is a fantastic place to start the day, various set breakfasts, that include coffee, orange juice, yought, pastries, scrambled eggs, and crepes. Very cheap and great place to sit and watch the people go by. They also serve sandwiches and other snacks.
La Tour de Babel
Situated next door to La Fontaine, very similar menu, again situated in the lovely area of La Fontaine.
Irish Bar and Restaurant
As you walk down the parade, half way down is the Irish Bar, not very Irish but serves good food and set menus.
Fast Food
If you fancy just quick lunch, at the other end of La Fontaine is, GFC, Chicken Dips, Pizza Hut and around the corner McDonalds. There is also a McDonalds on the beach along with another Pizza Hut.
Dinasty Restaurant - Casa Maria Authentic Spanish cusine, located Marche Municipal central Agadir. Elegant surroundings and great service. The food is superb from Tapas to Main courses. Reasonable prices and good atmosphere with live Spanish guitar. Open from 12:00 to 5:30 and 19:00 to 00:00.
Please dont forget to mention Resort Morocco recommended you visit the restaurant to the staff when you are dining.
Many of the larger hotels also have restaurants attached to them, with fine dining and service to match.
There are many snack bars offering hot dogs, hamburgers and chips scattered around the town which are obviously less expensive.
Of course there are many more restaurants especially on the promenade which we have yet to try, so if you have enjoyed a meal elsewhere please let us know! |
