The Beach Marina
First port of call the beach, 7km of golden sand. Whether you are basking in the sunshine or getting involved in water sports or volley ball, this is the place to start. Once your tan is topped up, you can stroll around the Marina and along the beach front, where there is an array of restaurants. Once you have eaten, you can take a leisurely walk along the sea front, as far or as little as you like.
Bird World
Close to the Marina end of the beach is a small but charming little Bird World, with exotic birds and a few animals. Set in landscaped gardens with a mini waterfall and fountains. You can sit and listen to the birds sing as you relax.

Noddy Train
This train is situated just at the entrance of Bird World. It’s a fun and cheap way of seeing the sites of Agadir. It will take you full circle from the Marina right up to the top end of the beach, where you will see all the large hotels, restaurants and bars.
Kasbah
This is a must: spectacular views from the top of the hill, where there is the old fort. Get a taxi up there and for a few pennies ask the taxi to wait, while you take in the views. If you are feeling adventurous, get a camel ride down again.
Souk
Just a short distance from the centre is the Souk, or Grand Bizarre. It is closed on Mondays and very busy on Saturdays. As you would expect from a Moroccon Souk, you can buy anything here from clothes to jewellery and of course all the local crafts. You can haggle and the sellers aren’t too pushy.
Agadir Parks – Bohc Area
Just set back about 1km are some wonderful landscaped parks. With children’s playgrounds and picnic areas. With tropical palm trees and huge fountains you can sit and have a picnic and relax while your children play.
Taghazout Village
A short bus ride from Agadir, or shared Taxi, takes six, is the wonderful village of Taghazout, Surf City. Tiny little place but fantastic coastline and surfers paradise. Just to sit and watch the surfers and enjoy the glorious ocean is an experience, but you can hire wet suits and surf boards and have a lesson or two, and really go for it.
Night Life - Agadir
And of course there are the restaurants, bars, and nightclubs for you to enjoy into the night. If you fancy a spin of the wheel or a game of black jack and feeling lucky you can go along to the Casino. |
